Dr. Thaddeus Brown married Susannah Crosby and built this house in 1832. Dr. Brown and Dr. Howe ran a medical practice out of the house. In 1839, Dr. Brown died suddenly, but Dr. Howe continued the practice until e died in 1851. Marshall Baldwin, a trustee of the house was listed as the owner in the 1853 survey. After that, it was sold to the Faulkner family, where they lived for many years. In the 20th century, the Billerica Fruit Store operated from the house, and later a tailor and shoe shop ran their businesses here.
